“Without the rigorous planning the course introduced me to, I feel my Forest School would have drifted about activities offering little continuity and progression for the pupils. I was confident going into the FS programme having completed the Staff Handbook, planned my sessions and risk assessed the site and activities. With that behind me I was left free to ensure each session was safe and that the activities were meeting pupil needs. I have time to be flexible as I was not making it up as I went along.”
